Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Principal Reactor Physicist to join our Nuclear and Reactor Physics team. The successful candidate will lead significant national and international customer projects related to reactor physics and technology, and provide technical guidance to team members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neutronics and reactor physics, with experience in using recognized code packages and in-house codes. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality technical work, including authoring and presenting technical calculations and documents.
  • Conduct neutronics or reactor physics calculations using recognized code packages and in-house codes.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members to support skills and capability development in reactor physics.
Requirements
  • A relevant scientific, mathematics or engineering degree combined with significant experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Gen IV reactors and advanced nuclear technologies (ANT) and demonstrated expertise in applying neutronics and reactor physics concepts.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers.
