Forensic Psychiatry Specialist

Devon Partnership NHS Trust seeks a Forensic Psychiatry Specialist to join their team in delivering high-quality care to patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established tiered system, triaging function, and completing access assessments. As a key stakeholder, you will shape the growth, development, and expansion of the service.
About the Role- Contribute to centralised Community Forensic Service triaging function and completion of access assessments.
- Consult/training and pathway advice.
- Care planning and treatment formulation, including evidence-based treatment and effectiveness.
- Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act implementation.
- Specialist forensic risk assessment, formulation, and mitigation.
The post-holder will have a capped caseload of patients and act as community RC for this cohort. A commitment to continuing professional development, respect, inclusiveness, and diversity is essential. Experience in teaching undergraduates and postgraduates, clinical supervision, and psychiatric practice in various settings is desirable.
