Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of psychiatric practice in various settings, especially the community. You will contribute to consultation, training, and pathway advice, and work closely with our team to optimize length of stay and forensic care pathways.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the growth, development, and expansion of our service. The post-holder will have a capped caseload of patients and act as community RC for this cohort.

About the Job
  • Deliver high-quality care to patients with intellectual disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury.
  • Contribute to consultation, training, and pathway advice.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to optimize length of stay and forensic care pathways.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working in a Forensic and/or Learning Disability Service.
  • Experience of psychiatric practice in various settings, especially the community.
  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
  • CCT in Learning Disability Psychiatry / Forensic Psychiatry.
Salary and Benefits
  • A competitive salary of £95,000 - £105,000 per annum.
