Forensic Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Consultant

Devon Partnership NHS Trust is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Forensic Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (FIND) Service.
About the RoleThe FIND service delivers a care pathway service for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, and/or Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). The post-holder will be responsible for optimising length of stay and the forensic care pathway, reducing out-of-area or specialist placements and efficiently using South West network beds.
Duties and Responsibilities- Role in centralised Community Forensic Service triaging function and completion of access assessments.
- Consultation/training and pathway advice on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness.
- Care planning and treatment formulation including guidance on implementation of Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
- Specialist forensic risk assessment, formulation, and mitigation.
The successful candidate will have a capped caseload of patients and act as community RC for this cohort. Estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum depending on experience.
