Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As an important member of our Forensic Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disorder team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative and effective occupational therapy services. You will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing personalized care plans, and providing expert guidance to colleagues. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively will be essential in this role.

Main Responsibilities

* Assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to identify areas for improvement
* Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patients' specific needs
* Provide expert guidance and supervision to colleagues to ensure consistent high-quality care
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
* Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patients' progress and share best practices

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

* A Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy
* Significant experience working with people with complex needs and additional sensory/health needs
* Experience in applying Occupational Therapy models to service users with complex needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

What We Offer

This is a competitive salary of £38,890 - £48,050 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a higher banding payment for SEN qualifications.
