About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our Inpatient Forensic Team based at Langdon, in Dawlish.

This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work with individuals who have complex mental health needs, providing high-quality care and support to help them achieve their recovery goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and deliver person-centred care to individuals with mental health issues.
  • Using your expertise, you will develop and implement effective treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
  • You will also be responsible for assessing and managing risk, ensuring the safety of both service users and staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised qualification in mental health nursing, occupational therapy, or social work.
  • Significant experience working with individuals with mental health issues, including those with complex needs.
  • Strong assessment and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, service users, and families.
  • The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, using your expertise to de-escalate conflicts and promote positive outcomes.
