Job Summary

A leading recruitment consultancy, Jonathan Lee Recruitment, is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies: Create and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Site Inspections: Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lead Health and Safety Training: Design and deliver internal training sessions on health and safety practices to foster a culture of safety across the organization.
  • Investigate Incidents and Provide Recommendations: Manage and investigate incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends and Legislation: Stay abreast of industry trends and legislative changes, advising the company on best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Departments: Collaborate with various departments to integrate health and safety considerations into daily operations and project planning.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a Health and Safety Manager role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH/IOSH certification or equivalent.
  • Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working on environmental projects and sustainability.
  • Problem-Solving Approach: A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work autonomously.
