About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workplace Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in driving improvements in safety, quality, and productivity across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Strategies: Define and lead the implementation of site safety strategies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Lead the Health and Safety Team: Manage and supervise the health and safety team, ensuring the delivery of objectives and the maintenance of high safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with stakeholders across all operations sites to identify and address health and safety risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Offer authoritative advice and guidance on health and safety matters to all stakeholders within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Review and Audit Health and Safety Arrangements: Review and audit health and safety management arrangements to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
  • Drive Behavioural Culture Change: Develop and implement strategies to drive a culture of safety and inclusivity across the site.
  • Implement and Review Safety Policies: Implement and review company global and EU safety policies to ensure compliance with local health and safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Degree-level education and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Proficient knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and its application, understanding of UK Environment, Health and Safety legislation, and advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.
