Job Overview:
CER Education Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and resourceful Learning Support Assistant to join their team in a mainstream secondary school in Durham. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students with complex needs, developing strategies to promote independence, and encouraging positive attitudes towards learning.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children from healthcare or another sector, with a focus on transferring skills to an education setting
  • Qualification in level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Ability to engage with children, enforce positive behaviour, and challenge negative behaviour when necessary
