Job Opportunity:

CER Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team in Durham. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs in a mainstream secondary school.

About the Role:

This is a full-time or part-time opportunity for individuals who have worked as teaching assistants in schools before or have relevant experience working with children from healthcare or other sectors. The ideal candidate will be able to transfer their skills and experience to an education setting.

The school is looking for resourceful and dynamic individuals to join their hardworking team of support staff. You will enjoy being effective in supporting students with complex needs and have an appreciation of the positive attitude required to encourage independence in your students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with children and enforce positive behaviour
  • Challenge children when they display negative behaviour
  • Be a qualified level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant

Our estimated salary range for this position is £85-£100 per day.
