Child Development Specialist Job

We are seeking an experienced Child Development Specialist to work with local authorities across England. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in educational settings, including statutory assessments. They will also possess strong communication and report-writing skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework.

This role offers flexible working arrangements and competitive pay rates, ranging from £500 to £700 per day, depending on the local authority. If you have the relevant experience and qualifications, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting psychological assessments to identify and address educational and developmental needs.
  • Collaborating with schools, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement effective support plans.
  • Providing expert advice on interventions to support emotional wellbeing, behaviour management, and learning.
  • Writing detailed reports to inform Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and other tailored strategies.
  • Supporting schools and local authorities in implementing evidence-based practices.
