Job Title: Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship – Level 5
About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Years Lead Practitioner to join our team at St Clare's Pre-School. As a Level 5 Childcare Lead Practitioner Apprentice, you will be responsible for the operational running of the nursery, working with children aged 9 months to 2.5 years, and leading a staff team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the nursery's day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Develop and implement curriculum plans, working closely with the staff team to deliver high-quality care and education.
- Lead and manage a team of practitioners, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure excellent practice.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns.
- Work collaboratively with the Preschool lead practitioner and business manager to drive business growth and development.
- Plan and deliver training and development opportunities for staff, promoting continuous improvement and excellence.
- Contribute to the development of the nursery's policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with the company's vision and values.
Requirements:
- Qualified practitioner with previous leadership experience, holding a NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years Childcare and Development.
- Safeguarding level 3 or 4 training, or willingness to train.
- GCSE's in Maths or English, or equivalent.
- Previous management/leadership experience, with a proven track record of success.
