Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lead Practitioner to join our team at St Clare's Pre-School. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for the operational running of the nursery, working with children aged 9 months to 2.5 years, and providing a high-quality learning environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate the nursery with a high level of professionalism and expertise, ensuring the well-being and safety of all children.
- Develop and implement engaging and challenging learning activities, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Lead and manage a team of practitioners, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure the highest standards of childcare and education.
- Collaborate with the Preschool Lead Practitioner and Business Manager to ensure smooth operational management of the nursery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including children's progress, staff training, and nursery operations.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with parents and external agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified practitioner with previous leadership experience in Early Years childcare.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years Childcare and Development.
- Safeguarding Level 3 or 4 training (or willingness to obtain).
- GCSEs in Maths or English (or equivalent).
Working Hours and Benefits:
