Job Title: Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship – Level 5
About the Role:
The Aspire Training Team is currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join St Clare's Nursery as a Level 5 Childcare Lead Practitioner Apprentice. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the operational running of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 9 months to 2.5 years.
Main Responsibilities:
- Qualified practitioner with previous leadership experience to manage the nursery's day-to-day operations
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of the children, working closely with the staff team
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure a high standard of care and education
- Manage staff rotas, ensure ratios are maintained, and participate in supervisions and staff meetings
- Lead safeguarding initiatives, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children and staff
- Collaborate with the Preschool lead practitioner and business manager to achieve smooth operational management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies
Requirements:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years Childcare and Development, Safeguarding Level 3 or 4 training, GCSEs in Maths or English (or equivalent)
- Previous management/leadership experience in an early years setting
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00, with flexibility to work around business operational hours
