Job Title: Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship – Level 5
About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced practitioner to join our team as a Level 5 Childcare Lead Practitioner Apprentice. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for the operational running of the nursery, working with children aged 9 months to 2.5 years, and providing a high-quality learning environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate the nursery, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Manage a staff team, deploying staff, ensuring ratios, producing rotas, and participating in supervisions and staff meetings.
- Be the safeguarding lead, with experience essential, and a current certificate or willingness to train.
- Work with and support children with SEND, and be flexible to meet the demands of the role.
- Develop the business with us, working alongside the Preschool lead practitioner and business manager to ensure smooth operational management.
- Plan the curriculum and day-to-day activities with the staff team.
- Administer and maintain records, registers, risk assessments, and children and staff records.
- Lead the holiday club, organizing fun and exciting days, outings, and activities.
Essential Skills:
- Experienced, confident, and knowledgeable in child development and the EYFS.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years Childcare and Development is essential.
- Safeguarding level 3 or 4 training can be provided.
- GCSE's in Maths or English or Equivalent.
- Previous management/leadership experience.
Working Hours:
- Business operational hours are 08:00-16:00 Monday-Friday, with flexibility required.
