Job Overview:

Aspire Training Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Lead Practitioner to join our team at St Clare's Pre-School. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to take on a leadership role in a well-established nursery setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational management of the nursery, including staff deployment, ratio management, and rotas.
  • Leading a team of practitioners, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality care and education for children.
  • Safeguarding lead, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Developing and implementing the curriculum, planning daily activities, and ensuring a stimulating and engaging environment for children.
  • Administration and paperwork, including registers, risk assessments, and staff records.
  • Leading the holiday club, organizing fun and exciting activities, and ensuring a smooth operation.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in child development and the EYFS.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years Childcare and Development.
  • Safeguarding level 3 or 4 training (can be provided).
  • GCSE's in Maths or English (or equivalent).
  • Previous management/leadership experience.

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Business operational hours are 08:00-16:00 Monday-Friday, with flexibility required to meet the demands of the role.

  • Closed for 2 weeks in August and 2 weeks for Christmas.
