Job Overview:
Aspire Training Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Lead Practitioner to join our team at St Clare's Pre-School. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to take on a leadership role in a well-established nursery setting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operational management of the nursery, including staff deployment, ratio management, and rotas.
- Leading a team of practitioners, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality care and education for children.
- Safeguarding lead, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and maintaining accurate records.
- Developing and implementing the curriculum, planning daily activities, and ensuring a stimulating and engaging environment for children.
- Administration and paperwork, including registers, risk assessments, and staff records.
- Leading the holiday club, organizing fun and exciting activities, and ensuring a smooth operation.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experienced and knowledgeable in child development and the EYFS.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years Childcare and Development.
- Safeguarding level 3 or 4 training (can be provided).
- GCSE's in Maths or English (or equivalent).
- Previous management/leadership experience.
Working Hours and Benefits:
- Business operational hours are 08:00-16:00 Monday-Friday, with flexibility required.
- Paid lunch break.
- Team building and staff outings.
- Closed for 2 weeks in August and 2 weeks for Christmas.
- 1 week's holiday leave.
- Uniform provided.
- Training opportunities provided.
- Parking available and on a local bus route.
