About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Years Lead Practitioner to join our team at St Clare's Pre-School. As a Level 5 Childcare Lead Practitioner Apprentice, you will be responsible for the operational running of the nursery, working with children aged 9 months to 2.5 years, and leading a staff team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the nursery's day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Lead a team of practitioners, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and education.
- Develop and implement the nursery's curriculum, working closely with the Preschool lead practitioner and business manager.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns.
- Collaborate with the staff team to plan and deliver activities, outings, and events that promote children's learning and development.
- Contribute to the development of the nursery's business, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Maintain accurate records, registers, and risk assessments, ensuring a high standard of administration and paperwork.
Essential Skills:
- Qualified practitioner with previous leadership experience.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years Childcare and Development.
- Safeguarding level 3 or 4 training (can be provided).
- GCSE's in Maths or English (or equivalent).
Working Hours:
Business operational hours are 08:00-16:00 Monday-Friday, with flexibility required to meet the demands of the role.
