School Administrator and Finance Coordinator

At Long-term Teachers Ltd, we are seeking an experienced School Administrator and Finance Coordinator to join our team.

Salary: £29,350 per annum

The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative skills, including diary management, word processing, and filing. They will also have a strong understanding of finance procedures, including purchasing, invoicing, payments, and banking.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and Senior Leadership Team
  • Manage day-to-day telephone and email enquiries
  • Process operational tasks, including compliance and recruitment administration
  • Organise and attend meetings, drafting minutes and distributing them to relevant parties
  • Maintain pupil and staff information on school systems, producing reports as required
  • Deal with all telephone enquiries in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Support safeguarding administration, ensuring accurate and secure records
  • Liaise with parents and external agencies in a professional manner
  • Provide cover for absent members of the administrative team and support during lunchtimes
  • Maintain accurate school attendance records and produce termly attendance data reports
  • Understand and work within the Trust's financial procedures
  • Raise purchase orders using PS Financials and manage stock
  • Regularly scrutinise purchase orders and chase overdue goods

Requirements:

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Strong understanding of finance procedures and software
  • Ability to maintain accurate and secure records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide cover for colleagues
