About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Officer to join our team at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. As a Residential Care Officer, you will provide high-quality care and support to vulnerable young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support to young people with behavioral and emotional difficulties, as well as other additional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that promote the well-being and independence of young people.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive living environment that fosters a sense of belonging and community among young people.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.
Requirements
  • A recognized Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a willingness to work towards within 18 months of appointment.
  • A positive attitude and experience of working with children and young people.
  • Ability to work over a 7-day shift rota system, including weekends and sleepovers.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • A full UK driving license.
