About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Care Officer to join our team at Stockton Council. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support to young people with complex needs, including those with behavioral and emotional difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive living environment, promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of young people.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.
  • Work a 7-day shift rota system, including weekends and sleepovers, to ensure 24/7 care and support.
Requirements
  • A recognized Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a willingness to work towards this qualification within 18 months of appointment.
  • Experience of working with children and young people, with a positive attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and a full UK driving license.
