About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Officer to join our team at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to vulnerable young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support to young people with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe and nurturing environment
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • A recognized Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a willingness to work towards within 18 months of appointment
  • A positive attitude and experience of working with children and young people
  • Ability to work over a 7-day shift rota system 365 days of the year, including working weekends and sleepovers plus some waking nights
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • A full UK driving license
