We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Child Care Specialist at Norton Court House, our specialist longer-term service for Children and Young People with a diagnosed Learning Disability and who display challenging behaviour as a result.

As a Residential Child Care Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our young people, providing them with the support and care they need to thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building relationships with children and young people
  • Establishing methods of communication with children and young people, reducing barriers when necessary
  • Assisting children and young people with mealtimes where necessary
  • Supporting with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
  • Communicating any issues to the on-shift team leader or management
  • Accurately reporting and/or recording work activities
