The Role: Deputy Residential Homes Manager

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Residential Homes Manager to join our dedicated team at a newly established residential home. This unique opportunity will allow you to make a tangible difference in the lives of children who have experienced trauma and may face attachment challenges.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Registered Manager to lead and supervise a team of Residential Care Officers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and family support aligned with the home's Statement of Purpose.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care packages that promote healing, growth, and positive outcomes for each child.
  • Work in partnership with therapists and other professionals to create a holistic and therapeutic environment that addresses the unique needs of our residents.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing home atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and empowered.

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Proven experience working with children who have experienced trauma and attachment issues
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing person-centered care and promoting the well-being of every child

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary up to £41,418 (salary grade on appointment will be determined by qualifications and experience)
  • Enhancements for the role and sleepover payments where appropriate with further opportunities to pick up additional hours as and when required.
  • 27 days annual leave per year rising to 32 with 5 years service (plus bank holidays). Ability to purchase additional leave is also available.
