As a Registered Manager in this Ofsted rated GOOD home, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating Individualized Care Plans: Ensure each young person has a customized plan addressing their diverse needs.
  • Building a Strong Team: Collaborate with recruitment to attract the right talent, ensuring a consistent and familiar environment for the young people.
  • Facilitating Consultation: Establish systems to gather feedback from young individuals regarding their care.
  • Assigning Key Workers: Designate a Key Worker for each young person to implement their care plan effectively.
  • Upholding High Standards: Monitor and maintain care quality in alignment with National Minimum Standards.
  • Addressing Complaints and Concerns: Take charge of resolving any issues or child protection matters.
  • Collaborating with Stakeholders: Partner with parents, caregivers, and professionals to support the welfare of young individuals.
  • Participating in Meetings: Engage in childcare planning and review meetings as necessary.
  • Promoting a Safe Environment: Ensure the highest standards of care for the children in your service.

Essential Qualifications and Experience


• Relevant Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a role related to residential care for children, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity within the last 5 years.


• Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a commitment to obtain within 6 months of employment.


• Knowledge: Familiarity with The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory frameworks.


• Skills: Proficient in planning, organization, budget management, resource allocation, and team leadership.


• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Understanding Trauma: Awareness of the needs of children facing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.


• Driving License: Full UK driving license required.
