About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Norton Court House, a specialist longer-term service for children and young people with a diagnosed Learning Disability and who display challenging behaviour as a result.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing intensive levels of support and care to help the young people we care for develop social and life skills. You will work closely with the team to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with children and young people, establishing methods of communication and reducing barriers when necessary
  • Assist with mealtimes, activities of daily living, and personal care as needed
  • Communicate any issues to the on-shift team leader or management
  • Accurately report and/or record work activities
