We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at a Long Term Care facility in Claremont, NH. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver basic nursing and restorative care to residents, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
- Attend report prior to starting resident care and maintain open communication with licensed personnel regarding significant observations and resident needs.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, while administering specified skin care treatments according to facility protocol.
- Provide assistance with ambulation, movement, and nutrition, ensuring resident safety and comfort at all times.
- React to emergency situations, redirect wandering/confused residents, and ensure resident safety, adhering to facility policy.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy, adhering to established nursing standards and policies.
- Identify and utilize infection control techniques, respect resident spiritual beliefs, and encourage participation in care.
- 1 year of current experience in a healthcare setting.
- Must be willing to float and adapt to changing situations.
- Previous travel experience and rural/small facility experience are highly preferred.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- New Hampshire state license or Compact license.
Every other weekend and holiday coverage required.
