Job Overview:

Our dynamic Jewish community in London, Ontario is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our strategic efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of community building, fundraising, and leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to meet the current and future needs of the London Jewish community. This includes building and maintaining relationships with donors, community leaders, and members to identify opportunities for innovative programming and collaboration.

The Executive Director will also oversee operations, provide financial oversight, and ensure the availability of funds for community programs and services. They will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to enhance the community's vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to meet the current and future needs of the London Jewish community.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, community leaders, and members to identify opportunities for innovative programming and collaboration.
  • Work with the community-at-large to ensure a voice in important civic matters, including representing the Jewish community at local events and programs.
  • Drive key education initiatives for both the Jewish community and local school boards, including Holocaust Education programming and PJ Library.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a senior leadership/management role, preferably in a community organization.
  • A track record of developing and implementing programs that educate, involve, and inspire.
  • An appreciation of and commitment to Israel and Jewish values.
  • Government and University relations experience, including working with key leaders on major issues such as antisemitism, Jewish and Holocaust education, infrastructure support, security, and safety.

Salary and Benefits:

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package.
