Job Description

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to lead our Adult Mental Health Team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective service plans, working collaboratively with other teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

About the Team

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and dedicated team of occupational therapists, working closely with other multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to patients with adult mental health needs. Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective service plans, working collaboratively with other teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring high-quality care delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with professional and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify areas for service improvement and develop strategies for implementation.
  • Prioritize workload and manage self and others' caseloads, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Autonomous practitioner with self-management skills, planning, and prioritization of workload.
  • Evidence of experience in Mental Health services as a Band 5 or 6.
  • Knowledge of services linking across primary/secondary care interfaces, Health and Safety at Work Act, and current healthcare policies.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including a basic salary of £51,411 - £63,779 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave, and training and development opportunities.
