Consultant Psychiatrist in Mental Health

As a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Psychiatry, you will work with the Early Intervention Service and the Kilburn Locality Community Mental Health Team. Your responsibilities will include managing and appraising medical staff, providing professional supervision, and ensuring staff operate within Trust policies and procedures.
Key Duties
- Manage and appraise medical staff, ensuring they operate within Trust policies and procedures.
- Provide professional supervision to medical staff, promoting their development and well-being.
- Participate in service and business planning, contributing to the development of mental health services.
- Attend and participate in the Trust's academic program, engaging in Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
The Kilburn post holder will have senior medical responsibility for a defined caseload of service users under the care of the Kilburn Locality Community Mental Health Team. The EIS post holder will be responsible for carrying out detailed psychiatric assessments and risk assessments, contributing to planning and implementing service users' care plans.
Requirements
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Excellent knowledge of specialty, excellent clinical skills, and excellent communication skills in English.
