Chief Psychiatrist for Acute Mental Health Services

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialty Doctor to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Beckton. As a leading clinician in acute mental health, you will play a crucial role in shaping our services and providing high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert treatment under the guidance of a Consultant Psychiatrist
- Conduct thorough assessments and mental state examinations of service users
- Participate in weekly ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings
- Attend Care Programme Approach and Section 117 meetings
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date clinical information is shared with all relevant parties
- Audit medical services to ensure compliance with GMC and professional guidelines
- Contribute to service governance and development
- Participate in on-call rota

About You
- You are a fully GMC-registered and MBBS-qualified medical professional
- You have excellent clinical decision-making skills and a strong ability to manage risk
- You are a first-rate communicator with the ability to interview, assess, and treat patients
- You are committed to continued professional development and have a passion for delivering high-quality care
- Possession of Section 12 approval and membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists is desirable
