About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to provide exceptional secretarial and administrative support to our Plastic Surgery Department. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department, providing a high level of service to patients, staff, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Plastic Surgery Department, including reception, correspondence, and data management.
  • Manage patient records, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
  • Coordinate appointments, surgeries, and other departmental activities.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, staff, and external stakeholders, providing excellent customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with the departmental team to achieve targets and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Secondary education to GCSE level, including English and Maths.
  • NVQ level 3 in administration or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in secretarial/administration, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
