Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Secretary to provide exceptional administrative support to our Orthodontic Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a high level of service to our patients, clinicians, and other stakeholders.

Main Duties
  • Provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Orthodontic Department, including managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating clinical activities.
  • Work closely with other disciplines to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Review and manage patient pathways to ensure all Orthodontic and RTT targets are met.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and staff to ensure excellent patient care.

Person Specification
  • Secondary education to GCSE level, including English and Maths.
  • NVQ level 3 in administration or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in secretarial/administration, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Aware of confidentiality and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
