Homelessness Support Shelter Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Homelessness Support Shelter Coordinator to join our team in Aylesbury. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness by providing shelter and essential services during the coldest months of the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finalize preparations for the night shelter in collaboration with the staff and volunteer team.
- Participate in training and assist at our support services to understand our offerings and work with guests.
- Work with the support team to prepare the shelter guest list for the pre-shelter Christmas accommodation project.
- Alternate between four days and three days a week, working afternoons and evenings to ensure the smooth operation of the night shelter.
- Ensure safe manual handling practices, including lifting and carrying equipment, and set up venues as needed.
Requirements:
- A full UK driving license is essential, with at least 12 months of experience.
- Must have an Enhanced DBS (issued within the last 12 months).
- Be flexible, resilient, and adaptable to change, with excellent communication skills.
Benefits:
- A competitive salary range of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
