Job Summary

Kent County Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our West Kent Disabled Children's Team 2. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with colleagues, agencies, and families to provide exceptional support to disabled children and young people aged 0-17.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people to progress towards independence, working closely with families and carers.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring the highest quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Health, Education, and the voluntary sector, to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments, investigations, and court applications as required, demonstrating excellent social work knowledge and skills.
  • Provide regular supervision and support to colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Social Work (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England.
  • Have a minimum of [insert number] years of post-qualification experience working with children and/or adults and their families.
