Job Summary

Kent County Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our West Kent Disabled Children's Team 2. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting disabled children and young people aged 0-17 to progress towards independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people with disabilities and their families to access services and resources
  • Work closely with colleagues in Disabled Young People's Social Work Teams and other key agencies to ensure a comprehensive support package
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the needs of children and young people
  • Provide high-quality social work services to children and young people, their families, and carers
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to support

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Social Work (CQSW, DipSW or equivalent)
  • Be registered with Social Work England
  • Have post-qualification experience of working with children and/or adults and their families
  • Have excellent social work knowledge, skills, and values
