About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at Close Brothers Group. As a key member of our Credit Risk team, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering credit risk strategies that drive business growth and minimize risk.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of credit acquisition strategies and processes to provide actionable insights and recommendations to credit management.
  2. Monitor and report on motor credit risk performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  3. Develop and present high-quality credit risk-related metrics and insights to credit management, credit committees, and other stakeholders.
  4. Maintain and contribute to relevant credit policies to ensure alignment with group credit risk standards.
  5. Ensure compliance with prudent underwriting standards and collaborate with operations to manage motor bad debt effectively.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in designing and implementing credit acquisition strategies, including credit and affordability strategies, policies, underwriting, and credit systems.
  2. Strong coding skills, with experience using tools such as SAS, SQL, Alteryx, Business Objects, or similar data analytical tools.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior management and non-credit colleagues.
Desirable Skills
  1. Understanding and/or experience of credit scorecards in a retail or commercial environment.
  2. Experience in consumer and commercial underwriting, credit bureau data, and reports, business accounts, etc.
