We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Specialist to join our team at Close Brothers Group. As a Credit Risk Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and delivering credit risk strategies to support the growth and success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis and Insight
Undertake in-depth analysis of credit acquisition strategies and processes to provide valuable insights and recommendations to our credit management team.
Performance MonitoringSet and monitor motor credit risk performance against agreed plans, targets, and budgets, and work closely with our credit manager to propose and agree actions required to address any performance issues or capitalize on opportunities.
Reporting and CommunicationDevelop and present high-quality credit risk-related management information and insights to our credit management team, credit committees, and other key stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
Policies and ComplianceMaintain and provide input for relevant credit policies to ensure the delivery of business objectives and alignment with our group credit risk standards.
Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with prudent underwriting standards and assist our operations team to ensure that motor bad debt is managed appropriately, and all processes comply with regulatory guidance.
Requirements
- Credit Acquisition Strategy
You will have experience of designing and implementing credit acquisition strategies, including the setting of credit and affordability strategies, policies, underwriting, bureau data, and credit systems.
Data AnalysisYou will have strong coding skills, with experience using tools such as SAS, SQL, Alteryx, Business Objects, or other similar data analytical tools.
CommunicationYou will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact and communicate complex information to senior management and non-credit colleagues.
Desirable Skills
- Credit Scorecards
You will have an understanding and/or experience of credit scorecards in a retail or commercial environment.
Consumer and Commercial UnderwritingYou will have experience of consumer and commercial underwriting, credit bureau data, and reports, business accounts, etc.
