Faculty Position in Physician Assistant Education

We are seeking a highly qualified clinical track faculty member for the Institute for Physician Assistant Education at Widener University.
The successful candidate will have a strong clinical and teaching background, with experience in teaching courses in the didactic year and assisting with advancing the clinical courses in the clinical year.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and teaching courses in the PA Program as negotiated with the Program Director
- Ensuring courses and syllabi are current and available to all students
- Demonstrating competency in teaching as evidenced by supervisor, peer, and student evaluations
- Participating in team and/or interdisciplinary teaching
- Participating in curriculum development both didactic and clinical
- Using faculty development opportunities and teacher effectiveness tools to improve teaching
- Serving as academic advisor and/or mentor for students and/or student organizations
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, with 5 or more years preferred. Academic teaching experience is also required, with a minimum of 3 years.
