Job Summary:

Widener University is seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join the Institute for Physician Assistant Education. As a clinical track faculty member, you will play a critical role in teaching and mentoring students in the Physician Assistant Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in the Physician Assistant Program, including didactic and clinical year courses.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to ensure students meet program outcomes.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in program accreditation and evaluation processes.
  • Engage in clinically-based or educationally-based research and present at conferences.
  • Participate in university, college, and program faculty meetings and events.
  • Recruit and advise students, and serve as a mentor to new faculty members.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • Academic teaching experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of interprofessional healthcare teams and excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
  • Pennsylvania state licensure as a Physician Assistant or PA-State eligible.
