Job Title: Older People's Mental Health Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Administrator to join our team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our Older People's Mental Health Service, ensuring the smooth operation of our services and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Older People's Mental Health Service, including managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating referrals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks, including data entry, reporting, and correspondence.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health administration.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mental health administration, preferably in an NHS setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Mental Health Act and Care Programme Approach.
