About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our innovative Social Inclusion and Floating Support service in Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support and case work to individuals with mental health needs, using the recovery model.
  • Develop and sustain professional relationships with service users, ensuring social inclusion and promoting independence.
  • Support individuals with housing and tenancy-related needs, and help them develop daily living skills.
  • Contribute to the development of activities and services that promote social inclusion and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with community groups and stakeholders to provide activities and support for service users.
Requirements
  • Paid or unpaid experience of supporting people with mental health needs is essential.
  • A strong work ethic and duty of care, with the ability to contribute to a positive approach in our team.
  • A full clean driving licence and access to a car, with flexibility to work predominantly Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with some evening and weekend work required.
