Main Responsibilities:

As a Senior Manager in Children's Home Care, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a children's care home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children in care. The role of an Ofsted Registered Manager is pivotal in ensuring the highest level of care and regulatory compliance within a residential setting.

This position involves managing junior staff, developing and implementing care plans, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will lead, supervise, and support staff to create a positive team environment, conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews, and facilitate training and professional development for team members.

Child-Centered Care:

You will develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs, foster a supportive atmosphere that promotes the emotional, physical, and educational development of children, and engage with children, encouraging participation in activities and decision-making.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

You will ensure the home meets all regulatory and statutory requirements, maintain registration standards as per Children's Home Regulations and Care Standards 2015, and ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations. You will monitor and maintain high standards of care and safety, conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

You will maintain open communication with children, families, and external agencies, liaise with social services, schools, and other professionals involved in the children's care, and attend meetings and contribute to care planning and reviews.

Financial Management:

You will manage the home's budget and resources effectively, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining quality care.

Qualifications:

Relevant qualifications in childcare, social work, or related fields are essential. Significant experience in children's residential care, including supervisory or managerial roles, is also required.
