About the Role:

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd seeks a highly skilled Child and Family Practitioner to deliver exceptional residential childcare services. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about creating a positive environment and securing the best outcomes for children and young people.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To engage in the delivery of residential childcare using specialist knowledge for interventions, needs assessments, and care planning.
  • To create a safe and supportive environment for each young person, taking into account their diverse needs.
  • To conduct thorough assessments and employ multi-agency interventions to bring about positive change through effective relationships.
  • To collaborate with colleagues to share social work knowledge, theory, and practice.
  • To maintain strong relationships between children, young people, and families whenever possible and appropriate.
  • To ensure delivery of residential childcare aligns with Ofsted's Social Care Inspection Framework.
  • To promote good professional practice within the homes, adhering to Departmental Standards.
  • To build effective relationships with young people and their families to ensure a caring environment is maintained.
  • To effectively manage risk and enhance emotional resilience.
  • To participate in statutory reviews and planning meetings.
  • To contribute to young people's care plans and dynamic group risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • A Dip SW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent nursing qualifications.
  • Significant experience in care, including direct work with disabled children.
  • A keen interest in supporting young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviors.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and making a difference in the lives of young people.
  • A driving licence and access to a car.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in.

Salary: Up to £34,723 per annum.
