Lead the Way in Residential Children's Care

Leaders In Care is seeking a dynamic and experienced Residential Children's Home Manager to lead the setup of a new provision in Slough. This role is perfect for someone who wants to be involved in every aspect of developing a children's home from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Complete the registration process with Ofsted
  2. Recruit, induct, and develop a staff team
  3. Ensure compliance with statutory and organisational policies
  4. Lead and manage care and placement planning
  5. Maintain professional relationships with multi-agency partnerships
  6. Oversee budgeting and financial management
  7. Provide professional supervision and training for staff
  8. Facilitate Ofsted inspections and regulatory reports

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the position of Residential Children's Home Manager should possess:

  1. QCF Level 3/4 in Children and Young People (CYP)
  2. A minimum of one year of managerial experience within a children's residential service
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of attachment theory and quality standards
  4. Experience with Ofsted inspections
  5. A full UK driving licence
  6. Level 5 or a willingness to undertake QCF Level 5 in leadership and management
  7. Previous Ofsted inspections rated Good or Outstanding
