We are seeking an accomplished Interim People Services Manager to join Waddington Brown, a prominent professional services sector firm in East Anglia. The successful candidate will lead a small team and foster best practice development on a contract expected to last 4-6 months, with the potential for extension.

This pivotal role demands strategic leadership, operational expertise, and exceptional communication skills. Responsibilities include leading a small team, reviewing job descriptions, restructuring the HR department, and implementing a new HR information system (HRiS). Furthermore, the individual will need to explore automation possibilities within the larger organisation and establish a new grading structure to guarantee competitiveness in attracting top talent.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Leverage your expertise to review and revise job descriptions within the HR function, aligning expectations among the HR team
  2. Spearhead the reorganisation of the HR department, establishing clear and efficient reporting lines
  3. Optimise HR processes and activities by introducing innovative approaches and assessing their impact
  4. Implement the new HRiS, driving automation efforts to maximise efficiency throughout the organisation
  5. Design and implement a fair and competitive grading structure to attract and retain top talent

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong background in HR practices and a deep understanding of HR best practices
  • Certification from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or equivalent preferred
  • Proven track record in managing HR departments and leading teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with employees at all levels
