We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Residential Children's Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to children and young people in our residential settings.
About the Role:
- Support two children in a loving home environment, working closely with a team of 6 colleagues.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children and young people aged 7-17 years, helping them to manage complex trauma and develop life skills.
- Work collaboratively with our team to create a warm, supportive, and homely environment that promotes positive outcomes for our young people.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as autism, SEN, trauma-informed practices, and therapeutic caring.
Requirements:
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
- Organized and confident in interactions with children and young people.
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications (NVQ3/Diploma in caring for children and young people) is desirable.
