The Role: Residential Children's Services Deputy Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of our residential homes and provide high-quality care for young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Delivery & Practice:
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each young person.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and organizational guidelines.
    • Promote a safe and nurturing environment for all residents.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Team Management & Development:
    • Lead, motivate, and support a team of dedicated care workers.
    • Provide regular supervision and performance feedback.
    • Contribute to the professional development of staff members.
  • Resource Management:
    • Monitor service budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Maintain facilities to a high standard.
  • External Relations:
    • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including social workers, schools, and families.
    • Represent the organization positively in all interactions.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a residential care setting for young people.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Relevant qualifications in Children's and Young People's Workforce, Leadership and Management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
