We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Worker to join our team at Wakefield Council. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people aged 9-17.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supporting the daily needs of children and young people, including their physical, emotional, and educational well-being.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality care approach.
- Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to the development of care plans.
- Providing a safe and nurturing environment, promoting the children's independence and self-esteem.
**Requirements:**
- A relevant qualification in childcare or youth work (NVQ3/Diploma in caring for children and young people or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, sleep-ins, and Bank Holidays.
