We are seeking a dedicated and caring Children's Residential Worker to join our team at Wakefield Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people aged 7-17 who require additional care and support.

About the Role

  • Support two children in a loving home environment, working closely with a team of 6 colleagues.
  • Provide individualized care and support to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children and young people, particularly those with complex needs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, sleep-ins, and Bank Holidays.
  • Commitment to improving the life chances of the children and young people in our care.
